SPECIFICATIONS
AD301 has been cut from various cockpit component housing and center pedestal panels that were removed from B-1B S/N: 82-0001.
The Rockwell B-1B Lancer serial number 82-0001 holds a special place in aviation history as the first production B-1B built for the U.S. Air Force - assembled largely by hand at Rockwell’s facility in Palmdale, California. It made its maiden flight on October 18, 1984, piloted by Rockwell test crews, beginning a flight-test program that would lead to the B-1B’s entry into operational service in 1986. Nicknamed “Leader of the Fleet,” 82-0001 demonstrated the capabilities of the redesigned B-1A, which featured reduced radar signature, improved low-altitude penetration performance, and increased payload capacity compared to the B-1A. As the aircraft that launched the B-1B production program, 82-0001 played a pivotal role in restoring America’s long-range bomber force during the final years of the Cold War and remains one of the most historically significant B-1B airframes ever built.
Sheet 3 of AD301 is offered in 2 different card variations, both illustrated by BVR: Color and Throwback. The Color card features the same art used on the first edition release of the B-1B Air Drop. The Throwback card features black and white art that was used on the very first tag (Jet Eyes) release featuring this aircraft. 5 Black Crystal Holographic cards will be randomly fulfilled amongst orders for the Throwback card.
All Air Drops ship in a sealed bag with a limited-edition sticker and display stand.
