ARD

ARD, or Advanced Research Division is a special DEVOC unit that develops new vehicles and crew gear. ARD personnel, aka the VARX, are comprised of designers, engineers, and former operational DEVCOM crew. 

ARD's approach to development is to heavily modify existing hardware rather than fully develop new tech.
